I coulda been a refinery! Atlantic Richfield owned the land Kayak Point now sits on. They had planned to build a refinery. When the Snohomish County voters rejected the project, 640 acres were sold back to the county by Atlantic Richfield. Those acres have been turned into a park development including 260 acres for the Kayak Point Golf Course.
Kayak Point Golf Course was built on rolling forestland, wetlands and deep-set woods of alder, fir, and cedar. Kayak features large immaculately manicured greens and great views. Water comes into play on only two holes. No homes or roads border the course and there are no parallel fairways. Their serene setting, beautiful sloping fairways, and views of the Olympic Mountains offer a great combination of beauty and challenge.
The Kayak Point Golf Course plays to 6,719 yards and a par of 72. The course rating is 72.9 and the rating is 138.
Selected as one of "America's Top 50 Public Courses to Play" by Golf Digest, Kayak Point offers players of every skill level a unique golfing experience.
